Just curious if anyone uses their own protection during an appointment or do you just use what's provided? Is that even an option?

Providers...what are your thoughts?

I've used my own before, and I've used what's provided before. Perhaps I should be more concerned but I'm usually not. If it's a big deal for you, I suggest using some of your appointment time to buy the condoms together. You know they're good/safe, she knows they're good/safe, and you both have input on brand, style, etc.

Context to above comments: On incalls I usually use what's provided. On outcalls, I usually use my own. I usually keep a variety of styles/brands available, and always try to have non-latex available in case of allergies. As Dallas points out, I did have one occassion where all I had were some Trojan studded, and the texture really wasn't working for the woman I was with at the time. We had to make a grocery store run, lol. The ladies know what they like and don't like, so I tend to pay attention to what they provide, if it's not in my variety I'll stock up before an outcall with them.

Note: I always keep at least one of my own in the wallet. Just in case, have only had to use it once, and it was one of the three bad experiences I've had in the hobby.

I recommend taking your own non latex. Than talk to the provider to see what she wants. I have had a couple that didn't have any.

Not having a non latex one on hand cost me getting more than dome once.

I use the Skyn brand personally, they have a thinner one (Elite, I believe) that reviews well and their Large variety is already the thin variety as well.

Latex?

I haven't used a non-latex condom in a long time, but the Trojan Bare Skin variety seems popular and they have that variety available in the Magnum line as well.

I'm sure others have preferred condoms. It's a matter of finding a condom that fits you well and also allows for sensation in your case at least.
