Mother of all Iron Bowls!!>> Well not so sure about that. The '71 game was kinda special two undefeated top 5 ranked teams at Legion Field in front of a 50/50 split crowd. Pretty damn cool. The ole coach will give his ideas on the '13 game later this week. How about your ideas and predictions????

War Eagle! And bamacoach, I wasn't there in '71 (I was barely anywhere) - do you say 50/50 split because the tickets were split 50/50? Because I don't recall an iron bowl ever seeming evenly split. As an auburn fan, it always seemed heavily weighed towards the Tide...did the "home" team get a bigger share?

I agree with Supernatural Guy, the split was more like 70/30.............those Gold Seats went to the Birmingham elite.....

Having gone to a few of those games at Legion Field there were probably more Alabama fans there but the original ticket allotments were 50-50. Roll Tide!

They were split 50/50 with the exception being state senators and reps, Governors staff etc all got tickets. I'm sure Legion Field had a number of tickets but the tickets were even going to both schools.
