Chicken Soup from Soul: Life Lessons.

I know Thanksgiving was yesterday and I am a little late with this... but I just had to get this off my chest! .

I am only 23 and have not been in the hobby for very long. BUT!! I WANTED YOU ALL TO KNOW...........YA'LL HAVE TRUELY CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER AND I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. There are times even after a good work day, when I lay in bed and I feel alone, or have a bad day full of NCNS on top of a shitty personal life... and feel as if I have the world on my shoulders with nobody to ask for help. Nine times of ten, it's not a friend or family member checking to see if I am above water.... ITS YALL!!! For example, I was without computer for week and I did not log in or post in a few days.. YA'll are the ones to email and check in on me to make sure I'M alive and safe! The best part is some of the ones who check in on me randomly are Men I have never seen BCD! Or when I got not response to my reply in fawns thread, I feel as if my opinion was dumb or maybe nobody cared to hear it... I get an email thats letting me know they appreciate my post and acknowledge my thought and effort I put into to fawn's thread.

You never know how awesome it is to feel cared about, on and off the clock.
I truely want to say "YOU" (the people of eccie) were in my head when I was counting all the blessings in my life this Thanksgiving. This year has not been easy. (Loosing full scholarship for softball, right before my last season of my senior year... being thrown into the real word while trying to adapt to this highly sexual, highly organized, very challenging and competitive hobby ! And then learning that the people who "love" youhave been your friend and family since birth can so easily vanish when an asshole forwards my showcase link to 75 home town friends on Facebook.

You are my anchor when I need you!

Amazing Life Lessons.... (And still learning!)

Life Lessons

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

I've learned that no matter how much I care some people just don't care back.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And, just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I’ve learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt, and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned that heroes are people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I’ve learned that you can keep going long after you can’t.

Your probably thinking what does this 23 year old think she knows about Life Lessons?!!! Well, all I can say is that I am blessed to have met some of the amazing people that have walked into my life and left footprints on my soul. And blessed that I have been safe in the process.

SOO from the bottom of my lil Brookie heart... Thank you.
