Ever buy a former rental car?

Ok, so I was looking for a vehicle for a family member online, and found a used 2016 Hyundai for a good price with 41k miles. There was a Carfax link and it showed it was bought at auction by the dealer, and was a rental car before. Now I know how I've treated rentals myself, but have never bought one. Anyone with any experience? Thanks.

My very first car I ever purchased was used previously as a rental. It was the best used car today that I ever purchased and not once did I have any problems or repairs. The great thing about rental cars are that they are typically kept in pristine condition always washed and detailed, repairs and maintenance is always kept up with, tires and batteries are always in good conditioned, and the car's body and interior is always in pretty perfect condition.

There's some deals to be had going that route. Might also check with dealers for leased vehicles coming in if you're not in a hurry.
