I got three of them! I also got three Moderna shots.

I prefer the Pfizer Comirnaty shot. It's kind of like the Toyota Camry of vaccines. The Moderna vaccine, which has stronger side effects, is like a Ferrari -- it's 100 micrograms of pure m-RNA (with a few additives)! The Toyota is just about as functional as the Ferrari, but you're less likely to get killed in it. I'm not sure how good the analogy is, as you're orders of magnitude more likely to die in an auto accident than from a COVID vaccination. And also YOU are not going to get a COVID vaccination unless you're laid up in a hospital unconscious. But you get the picture.

When did you get your first one, roughly? mm/yy sort of thing.

I got two Pfizer. I have also had Covid 1x so I'm done with more of the same. I have been and will continue to be a supporter of the shot since I believe in science and immunizations. While nothing is an outright cure or 100% effective prevention, just like condoms you can go without and take a chance or you can do what you can to minimize the risk.

So thank you President Trump! And thank you Big Pharma!

I didn't know about the legal shield, but that was a brilliant move by Trump. First, what company is going to spend hundreds of millions or billions to develop a life saving vaccine, and then get sued out of existence by plaintiffs' attorneys who blame every ailment on the vaccine? Somebody dies of a heart attack - file a lawsuit! Opps, some recently-vaccinated pedestrian got mowed down in a traffic accident - file another lawsuit! Or add him to the class action!

And who would really benefit from the lawsuits? Class members who allegedly were harmed would receive peanuts, while the attorneys would pocket billions.

And where would a good chunk of those billions go? Why to the Democratic Politician's best friends, the plaintiffs' lawyers, of course. The lawyers grease the Democrats' pockets, and the Democrats write the laws so the lawyers can make out like bandits. So Trump was preventing the Democrats from amassing a huge war chest and turning the USA into a one party state, all-the-while saving hundreds of thousands of lives!

Yes, Donald Trump is crazy. Crazy like a fox!

Notwithstanding the sketchy past attempts to get beyond basic clinical trials with mRNA prototypes in general. It's a different beastie if you make the choice yourself, whether ill-informed or not, because of censorship of dissenting voices. That's on you.

@Tiny can you give me any proof whatsoever that you’re not some vodka addled Russian somewhere in the basement of a Stslin era box. If you don’t step it up, your address will be Mermankst forever.

Of the Following . . .
  • #1 - Avoid cases of unprovoked rudeness to others. No place for it here. Yes, with the dynamic nature of the threads and topics, tempers will flare and things will become heated from time to time. You may often encounter individuals who become passionate or emotional when expressing one's opinion or point of view. That's all understood and perfectly acceptable within reason…….but, start slamming or bashing another member and be met with consequences.
  • #3 - Disrespect to others, IN GENERAL, will be considered an item of low tolerance, especially when posting in our coed forums. Follow the Golden Rule and treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. This applies to fellow members as well as staff. We do not require that you have respect for us, but we do require that you treat us respectfully in the public forums. If you feel the need to vent, gripe, or blow off some steam regarding a staff member's action or decision, we ask that you keep it private. Email, RTM, or the PM system would be the appropriate avenue to take in such cases. In cases where you would like to request additional clarity about a staff decision, you are free to pursue an answer in either a public forum or private means of communication. If handled publicly, post your inquiry in a respectful manner.
  • #4 - Blatant insults or hostility toward another member will be met with staff intervention. This applies to using our coed forums for name calling, personal attacks, or vulgar slang terms to describe fellow members. If you have legitimate concerns about another member here, share them tactfully in the appropriate private forums or with staff.
