I am updating my showcase and for some reason I am unable to upload photos to my showcase. Maybe it takes a while for the photos to be approved or am I just missing something?

The most common issue I've seen with this is trying to load files that are too large.
Re-size the photos for web use. Anything more than about 600 pixels, and you aren't gaining anything. I don't know the max file size off the top of my head, but any reasonably-sized photo won't cause any issues with that.
