Man Robbed After Picking Up Prostitute
Beaumont police are investigating an aggravated robbery. A man told police he picked up a prostitute just before 2:00 this morning in front of the Valero store in the 2100 block of N. 11th. They went to her room at the nearby Days Inn. She left to pay her room rent when she returned she was accompanied by a man who robbed the victim at gunpoint. They took cash, his cell phone, and the keys to his truck. They then burglarized his truck. The victim was not hurt.
