car stereo

Looking to replace my factory car stereo for an aftermarket stereo for a 2000's compact car like Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc.

I haven't bought a stereo in a long time and haven't kept up.

Looking for one that can sync with iphones, use a usb stick, and/or have internet access.

I am not sure what exists today.

I have been researching but I really don't know what is good anymore.

Does anybody know of local shops that are reputable and have good stereos?

I wouldn't trust just anyone to do it.

A couple of years ago, Best Buy tore up my car really bad to install an alarm, stereo, speakers and sub woofer. More than $3000 of damages. Never again!

It took Auto Sound on Hwy 121 in Lewisville a few days to repair or replace what they could and were very fair for the amount of work done.

My car's system sounds awesome, works right and the alarm is great too!

The guys are friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. Ask for Dan or Phil.

Sounds like you answered your own question by mentioning Auto Sound. I can recommend Beckerautosound.com in NJ.
http://www.beckerautosound.com/. They handle all kinds of high end Becker Radios for MBZ, Rover, Porsche, Jag, etc. They also handle Mark Levinson products for Toyota. I know they are not local bu they are cutting edge. Good luck
WTH, I forgot to mention Bonnie&Clydes Stereo on Harry Hines. I think they cater to the Hip Hop, Gangsta, Bad Azz crowd. I had a provider steal my cc info and used it to buy $2000+ of stereo equip for her pimp at B&C. If that is not a sterling recommendation for tunes I don't know what is! LOL

Myself, I like Alpine head units. The INE - Z928 HD is what I have in my truck. Then go with JL Audio door speakers, sub woofers and amps. I use the Evolution ZR 650 CSI DOOR speakers, along with 2 12 TW 3 - D4 Subwoofers. The subs are powered by a HD 1200/1 amp. And a HD 600/ 4 powers the door speakers. That's about as good as it gets for a truck. IMHO.........But it's darned expensive. It all really depends on your budget. Bonnie & Clydes Stereo on Harry Hines is a Good resource. They do quality work, at reasonable prices.

Damn Will.....only $2000? I got nearly $7000 in mine, and did all the work myself.

Bonnie & Clydes also do a lot of dealer work also.
