In my experience the appreciation of COF is higher among those who see the client/provider relationship as a business as opposed to a fantasy/personal connection. COF/COT is clearly superior in terms of things like health and pregnancy risk. It's sometimes hard to articulate this concept, so I use an example.

We were having a discussion about porn one day and if people preferred their porn with or without condoms. The vast majority preferred no condoms, but there was one guy who was furiously in the other camp. Ok, I actually have less than 2 years total experience in the hobby, since I took that break to be with one client from 12-12 to 2-14, and at first it was a little strange.
