Visibility of Ads

I have a man contacting me stating that he saw my ad that I posted in the weekend availability. He says he does not have an account , and that he had one but has not logged in in years, but that my ad is visible. However if I log out I'm not able to see anything other then the registration page. Is he blowing smoke up my ass or is there something that I don't know
