Having lunch today in Westport got me thinking of who has the best burger in KC? Westport Flea Market? Tanners? Winstead? Culvers? Muff Burger? lol

My favorites, in order are: Blanc Burgers and Bottles (Plaza location, not Leawood), followed by SmashBurger followed very closely by Hamburger Mary's. Town Topic can't be beat when everything else is closed. Many people say Five Guys is very good, I haven't given them a try . . . yet. Although, I could tell you a story about five (other) guys (at once), but that would be a whole other thread - j/k . . . or, am I?

Funny, Jazzer, I figured that this crowd would like the Juicy Lucy as well as the 'ole In-N-Out (I really wish they were local, and I adore Jack in the Box . . . and I see they may be coming [back] to KC soon).

Kisses,

- Jackie
5 Guys make a very good "fast food" burger, and is usually on the list of Best Burger places in cities where they operate. However, they are a little higher priced than the average FF burger.

Try the Kelly Burger at Grandstand on Merriam Lane. Tiny place...only 3 stools but oh so good grub.

BTW - Jack in the Box opens Nov. 1 in KCK...18th Street Expressway & I -70

Gordon Biersch Brewery in P&L has amazing burgers and the garlic fries rock. Pretty good handcrafted suds also.
Had the 5 Guys burger - not that good. Watching a show on Food Network called "Meat and Potatoes" that is showing the Westport Flea Market's burger. Haven't had one of those in about 10 years, but it was always a good one when I ate there. Smash Burger is pretty good, and I always liked Fuddruckers (but those are a bit pricey).

Grandstand"s Kelly Combo sounds awesome, a slice of ham and two slices of bacon on a double cheeseburger with fries, rings and a drink, I think I'll try that tomorrow for lunch (and then skip dinner). They have RAVE reviews . . . some saying that they rival Blanc.

I've always been a bacon-cheeseburger girl. In college a bunch of my friends would say "Here comes _______ - she'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" . . . but I made it known I suck cock quite well . . . and I didn't pay for another burger. Now that I think about it . . . I'm still not paying for burgers.

Here's the "Kelly" (looks YUMMY) -

Do you want a good old-fashioned burger and not some hybrid that calls itself a burger?

Flea Market.

Used to be a place called Max's Autodiner. I always thought they had the best burgers. The lettece, tomato and pickles were so fresh and crispy. Plus it was close to where I worked. Flea Market was always good too.
