advance toward Crimea

Ukraine forces advancing toward Crimea. Russian forces seem to be in a tailspin. Seems as if
another Russian general meets a mysterious death every week.

Topic question: How long will Putin absorb these developments until he does something crazy ?

Open the link in two browser windows. Take one back in time to 15-16 November, 2022 and leave the other at present day. And compare. You'll see virtually no change in the Russian occupied area. The Ukrainians haven't regained significant territory for 9 months.

This looks like World War I. Both sides are pummeling each other. Almost five hundred thousand young men have been killed or injured. Hundreds of billions of dollars of damage have been done. Over 10 million people have been displaced. And there's no end in site.

It's time to stop the madness. The Biden administration and the Europeans should press both sides to agree to a cease fire, and then peace. Even if it means that Ukraine won't recapture every inch of territory in the Crimea and the Donbas.

Polls indicate that the majority of the people in the pre-2022 areas of Ukraine then controlled by Russia preferred to be part of Russia anyway.

the Israeli deal that Biden rejected not long after the invasion was the same basic deal .. Ukraine does not join NATO and the Donbas is annexed by Russia.

this proxy fight is nothing more than american neocon imperialism to benefit the military industrial complex. Biden is their senile lackey.
This war is to our arms manufacturers what America’s addiction to illegal drugs are to drug dealers.

War news is always subject to susicion pending confirmation.

From Desert Storm days, I remember shocking stories that turned out to be different in the cold light of dawn. The young woman rescued from a hospital in a raid y Marines and special forces had not been shot or tortured . . .her injuries (broken arms and legs) were from a vehicular crash. Sure, Sadam's troops (some of them) did commit
atrocities, but not that.

When it comes to who is winning or who is advncing, think of m indirection pending confirmation.

?And it doesn't have to be what is said that is suspect. What "they" dopn't say can also be misdirection.

I have long read about Russia's mounting casualties, now reported to be over 250,000 killed and wounded. Looks grim for the Russians (even one is grim). Last week, someone let slip that Ukraine's figures were twice that. Now, unless they just give up, which side can keep losing that many men and women for another year or two? Just now, I am not sure what to believe on that one.
