Did the same thing with this provider I had to take a picture of the card and she wanted me to send her a picture of the scratch off code.
except I didn't give her the scratch-off code. When she asked for it I said see you. She tried to get me to come back Said she would wave at me from a window yeah it's a scam.
After I left I got a text from another provider. I thought are you kidding me. I'm sure it was some hard dick sitting behind a computer. Gets your code and drains your card.
I don't prepay Don't do gift cards anymore. I try and stay with local phone numbers also

Anytime you hear gift card/itunes card or any damn card imagine a dude texting you pretending to be a girl! It's pretty well designed scam that scams thousands of ppl every year... You will find youtube videos of such scams...
