House bills FOSTA-SESTA package became a law on April 11, 2018. ... The bill was signed into law by President Donald Trump on April 11, 2018.

Theae have already been a law since last year.

Not sure what to make of it. Some people already acting like the sky is falling, which doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't.
I'm not acting like the sky is falling but this is the reason I do not not advertise anymore. I'm not taking a chance. But that's just me. As of September 1st - I'm fully retired. Except,of course, for those that already know me.

A lot of those laws were things already tied to sesta and fosta. Reason why this board cleaned up a lot of things and why they disallowed the mention of rates, menus, services, certain words/descriptions in ads and so on. Since fosta/sesta there has already been multiple arrests and large stings targeting the same things that the "new" laws are talking about. Those laws may come into effect on sept 1st but they have already been cracking down on all of that stuff since last year when sesta/fosta became a law. Why a lot of sites closed a year ago and the others cleaned up and took them overseas where they arent under US laws.

If you put a target on your back you will be a target. Keep things clean, don't discuss illegal acts/services, screen screen and screen, don't agree to an act for money, don't discuss money period.

I was charged with a class B misdemeanor prostitution but ultimately dismissed. However, The prosecutor wanted blood and my lawyer had to fight very to get him to dismiss. Plus I got really lucky in how Travis County Sheriff mishandled the evidence. Anyway in the indictment it read, “In an effort to combat sex trafficking I was being charged with a Class B”. Those were some hard words being thrown my direction. I am not going to mention any names and do not PM either. There is a prosecutor in Travis County that handles most of the prostitution cases and let me just say he does not play around. In fact my lawyer had nothing but bad things to say about him. Supposedly, they had got into some yelling conversations and had to go to prosecutor’s supervisor to get it dismissed.
I was looking at this new Texas laws words and it says “If a person benefits from human tracking” they can be charged. I am not a lawyer but do not be surprised if that jack wagon down in Travis county court is looking to try this new law out. In fact I would be scared if arrested. Knowing what I know now

I've noticed you have posted about this quite a few times but never give much detail on how, when and where it happened. Some more info discreetly would be nice.

Any laws that help combat human trafficking of sex slaves at places like D&T, Austin Day Spa and 13740 Research, K3 are great laws.

People who knowingly see human trafficked sex slaves are terrible human beings so who really cares if they get arrested and their photo and personal information is blasted in the media?

Same with the hookers. It's pretty basic. Risk reward.

Deal with it and stop whining.

Don't get caught with your pants down!

One thing I learned about the Law, Treetop78759, and you have to understand this crystal clear is that JohnnyLaw gets to perform their duties how ever they want as long as they can show they"Believed" they were following the law. Notice I said "Believe". It is called qualified immunity if you do not know. Anyway, if you get arrested, Johnnylaw can have a potential criminal charge sitting over your head for the next couple of years(not fun by the way) until the courts try to make sense of JohnnyLaw's bullshit. Meanwhile you start to realize when you go up against Johnnylaw it is like going up against a prize fighter that has very little to loose, and you the accused have everything to loose.

This is the issue Treetop78759 is that this new law is a new law and no one knows how Johnnylaw plans on using it. Furthermore, no one knows how the courts will rule on this law because it has not been tested yet.

Maybe they're cleaning and reviewing the boards, just to be safe. Honestly, this doesn't freak me out a bunch because they've been cracking down. And besides, really screening weeds out a lot.
