Google Changes It's Name

Well, I would have never guessed it in a million years!

The latest news is that Google supposedly heard that the town of Topeka changed it's name to Google.

Google in turn decided to change it's name to Topeka.

Does anybody smell an April Fool's joke in here somewhere?

I was wondering why Topeka was showing up on my google page LOL
Yeah isn't that crazy! But those guys at Google have enough cash to pull it off.
I spent 4 years in Topeka one month. I can't imagine why anyone would want to be there.

We will see how serious the name change is tomorrow.

Topeka is just East of Anchorage. So it all makes sense.

Well, after more research, I find that the name change was more than just a simple April Fool's joke, although it was an excellent one.

Actually, many cities are competing for the fiber optic network that Google plans to build in one city.

There are already over 1,100 entries hoping to entice Google to choose their city.

Hey, why isn't Houston on that list?

We need faster internet connection too!
