A Cinco de Mayo gift to the huddled masses.....ijs

Allow me to share the origin of "ijs".

Once upon a time there was a hooktard in Houston named Aiden McKenna. A number of us retards would occasionally get together for a beer or six.

I will not say who all was at these get togethers. But, suffice it to say the group included most of the worst assholes on this board.

Aiden is a talker. That whore can go on and on and on. She has one little irritating habit...........ok, she has many irritating habits.......but, she has one habit in particular that caught my attention. When Aiden is relating a story about the hobby and she is not saying everything she knows......but, she wants you to know that she knows more than she is saying.....she ends the story with "I'm just saying".

I am not much of a television person. But, one day I was flipping through the channels and I happened upon a show that caught my attention with the comment of "I'm just saying". I sat and watched that show for a horrendous hour. "I'm just saying" was used 9 times on that one episode. I figured it couldn't be a coincidence that Aiden used the same "I'm just saying".

The group of assholes eventually got back together for a beer or six, and Aiden showed up. I asked her where she got "I'm just saying". She started telling me about this tv show that she loves to watch called "Hannah Montana" and how this Hannah Montana always says "I'm just saying".

I immediately saw the ironic humor of that. Aiden asked me why I was laughing and I tried to explain it to her. But, I could tell she didn't quite get what I found so funny..........which made it all the more humorous.

An actress/singer pretends she is a nobody who becomes somebody pretending to be nobody using "I'm just saying" to convey that she knows a secret........being mimiced by a hooktard trying to convey that she has hooker secrets.

I asked Aiden if she minded me using "I'm just saying" on the board. She said she would be thrilled seeing me use the comment, knowing it came from her...........heh

Thus began the endocternation of the board to "ijs". The sheep don't know why they use it. They use it because everyone else uses it..........they are stuck in the pretend of a SHMB using "ijs" because they thinck they know what they thinck they know.

ijs............heh

Hate to burst the SHMBcentric bubble here but I've been seeing IJS used online since the days of IRC, ijs.

At this point its usage is widespread.

that saying's been around since before that show, before I even knew what hookers were, that they existed in htown, before the internet, and probably when I still had my own v-card.

the writers of that show didn't come up with that saying

just saying. pretty sure it was back in HS, possibly JH, and I know it got used many a times during drunk ramblings while hanging out BBQ'ing/grilling with the guys.
