So, I am going to get my first & only tattoo art & I know what I want. Here is my dilemma. I am an artist myself, being extremely particular about details, I want the BEST PERIOD!!! Not concerned with pricing & local preferred. TIA ♡

However, that being said, don't ask me how I know about one tattoo artist who is considered to be one of the best guy, if not the best, in Kansas City - Paul Myers.

Let's just say that this guy was dedicated to his work, and his art, before tattoos became a fad and a lot of unqualified people jumped in to see if they could make a living.

Check him out. You may be pleased.

Honey do what makes you happy! I have had a few clients tell me over the years that they wont see me anymore if I get tattoos. I have 7 now.. Maybe it stopped some from seeing me, but for every one that it turns off, there are 5 more guys who it turns on! Its your body. I decided recently I don't really care who likes my tattoos and who doesn't. I got them for me anyway. BUT just in case I made sure to get mine in places that are EASILY covered if I need to for a job or something.

With that being said I recommend Skinquest. In my opinion they do the best work hands down. Best shading, best color, best line work, best portraits. Every artist in there is great. Different people like different tattoo styles though and every artist is different. Oh and skinquest is reasonably priced and they do free touch ups for life

With that said, I'm not a big fan of the so-called tramp-stamps on a lady's lower back, but... again, if it's what you want, who am I to say no. Well, unless you are related to me! lol

I may have said this before in a previous tattoo thread, but my favorite one I ever saw was on a lady who had a tattoo of a mouse pushing a lawnmower, and it was right next to her shaved pussy. Ha! Classic!

The sample images you posted above, by the way, Destiny, are all excellent work!

Very wise Destiny. I appreciate my time with you, and regret hesitating seeing you because of your tattoos. You are a super lady.

I have people who have tattoos who work for me; but, the rule is they are not allowed for them to be seen at work. Tattoos may be enjoyed by an individual but there are many many people who detest them in any form. So many in fact, that one just can not think that all of them should go fuck themselves.

I simply can not allow them to be seen in our work, because it will not be received well by some. If you ever expect to be able to cross over to the other side of the street to visit, even shortly, with "polite" society, the tattoos can not be displayed openly.

The proof of the above statement is in the movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." When it came time to blend into society in order to "cash in" at the end of the movie; the tattoos were hidden and the whole look was changed from a dark rebellious girl to a beautiful blond woman. Most of us understand that at times it is necessary to project to others the image that they are receptive to. Sometimes, failure to blend in with what society expects from us makes us stand out to others like the guy who cuts an intentional noisy fart in an elevator.

The first perception of an individual is not always true, but it can be very important.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Employer and JR, but can overlook them to a degree long enough to get to know the person. They do seem to disappear in my mind after awhile, but the fact of the matter is you ladies will live to regret them. Sometimes it just takes longer than others. Luck is with you, though, because the same trend that brought them out in numbers will make the need for perfection/improvement of the technology to get rid of them.

Although I do see women with tats, I do not prefer them - the tats this is, not the women.

AS I've said before, a woman's body is a masterpiece on its own, magnificently beautiful and stunning. While some view it as a blank canvas, I view a women's body as perfection. God's masterpiece of creation.

Men have created masterpieces, although not as stunning. You wouldn't put graffiti on a Monet or Rembrandt. Why do it on the ultimate masterpiece.

But I realize a woman's body belongs to her alone and it is her decision to make not mine.

I would recommend "the Ink Parlor" downtown. They have done some of my work and I have been happy with how it turned out. Its owned and majority of the artists are female. What ever you do, know what you want to get. Interview the artists and look at the work they do. Be open, as they are the skin artist and may have some ideas on how to do it in a way that will make it so it looks good 10 years from now.

As others have said its best to get it somewhere it can be covered with normal clothing.
