I have s few clients in the I.T. field and I need a website designed would you suggest having one of them design it? I don't want to give them power over my marketability, esp if we have a falling out just in case. What do you guys think? I know u can design your own but I don't have a laptop atm. My MacBook was stolen out of. Coffee shop

You would need to have a lot of trust in the person.

If you feel you need some help, ask him to guide you through it as you do the work. And question anything that doesn't sound right.

If you don't want to use a client then just pay to have one designed and put up

Keep in mind that designing web sites is only a portion of the IT field. Just because a client is in IT does not mean the client knows much about setting up websites.

How much do you trust him? He could, for instance, set up your website to report secretly and directly to him the IP address of everyone downloading your pics.
