SLIXA???

Ok...so by now, everybody has seen the Pop-Up for Slixa from ECCIE.

I see that there are an increasing number of well known local ladies on board.

So...I went ahead and set up a profile just see what was going on.

To tell you the truth...I don't get it!

Maybe y'all can help me out?

1. Why would ECCIE promote this site?...unless it's a side venture???

2. WTF with the "Incall" & "Filters"? I tried to use them and got either nothing or providers waaaay outside of the target market.

3. Hey, but if it's workin' for the ladies...Why Not? Ladies: Has this site helped your business?

4. Dudes: Has Slixa made into your "Hobbyist Toolbox"?

...not tryin' to stir up any sh!t here...curious minds just wanna know????

I basically see it as an annoying popup I can't seem to get rid of.

hmmmm?

Never thought about that?

Is this some kind annoying mal-ware?

Or...is ECCIE selling the link to Slixa?

Either way...it is capturing local providers.

Interesting....can't wait to hear more.

Just thought I would join in and say, it has popped up so many times that I just went ahead and made a profile on there. So far no luck, but another free advertising site in my opinion. Maybe other lady's have had better luck than I've had on there. On the other hand, I have less pop ups now

Mods?

What say ye'?
It looks like they are going after the EROS.com market. Too bad.

What I would like to see some type of screening site that has a good market presence in all major cities. not just a few as is the case with P411

2. The Slixa search engine IS a wee bit wonky. It's a new venture, launched during the holidays last year, and the tech dept is still working the bugs out.

3. Slixa is a very "slick" site, visually appealing and well-thought out, very supportive of the ladies, but it hasn't helped my biz one bit just yet, not one call. Perhaps, being a provider "off the standard" in age and proportions, I may not be the type that the site is best suited for. Also, polished images shot by someone experienced with a camera, lighting, posing, and make-up are a must there for optimal display, and I prefer good amateur shots for authenticity. (It would be interesting to take a poll and see how successful Slixa has been for ECCIE providers. I know a couple who have gotten clients there, but those ladies are "cream of the crop" higher end escorts with a lot invested in professional photography and websites crafted by a skilled designer.)

I've been there since the beginning, and so far I and the other ladies are on the free trial "launch" membership, but eventually they will be changing providers to list there. Unless I start getting some calls off Slixa, I'll be dropping my profile when it starts costing me money. BP, ECCIE, Eros, and P411, in that order, work best for me.

Can somebody work up a flow chart of this business model for me please?

weirder and weirder...

Sure, the pop-ups are annoying, but they work for the advertiser...almost as much as the free exposure you are giving them by starting this thread.
FancyIH is a fellow H-towner, so I'd like to add this, to DownFW: just because ECCIE has accepted payment for advertising, from another business, does not instantly mean they're promoting this other entity. Maybe so, maybe not, but that transaction does not infer promotion, even passively.

Your choice of words, referring to a service "cannabalizing" providers from here seems oftly strange to me (scratching my head). You've been around awhile, so I presume you would know that providers might join slixa, in addition to other places they ad. They're not leaving here and moving. I doubt it's an 'either/or' for any of them.

I'm not crazy about the pop-up either, but it didn't make me want to join. The window closes just fine.

Agreed...but see Fancy's and my comments about this suckers lack of functionality...and I'd think that after over 3 months...this thing should be moved from pop up status to passive promotion in the header or left margin with the others.

I feel sorry for the ladies who have taken the time to build their profiles...only to have a search function wipe out all of their efforts.
I don't see the popups, so I guess I don't find it annoying. I also see no reason to 'go there' to find some fun.

While the ladies may see it as just another marketing tool, many guys appear to see it as an annoyance, to be avoided. Guess it can't hurt a lady's exposure, but the help is minimal.

If they are paying ECCIE, and the ladies can advertise for free on it, then how does SLIXA make any money to pay ECCIE?

Not sure in the last month or so that I've gotten any business from the site.

Otherwise, I'm all for another advertising venue that is "sex worker" friendly. The few back and forths that I've had with the owner there have been professional and very kind.

I like the site. Not fond of pop ups, and yes I get them too, but Slixa has a lot of potential. I might think differently if suddenly I'm charged $150 a month to be on there like Eros charges for base Dallas ads.

Always,
