Golden Age of Porn

I'm finding lately that I really miss the movies from the golden age of porn. Usually that period is, for the most part, defined as 1972 to around 1982. The movies were filmed in 35mm, they had real plots, acceptable acting, and fairly high production values, at least for dirty movies.

My top 5 favorites are:

5. The Ecstacy Girls- a fun movie by Harold Lime and Robert McCallum. Three losers try to blackmail female family members to get them disinherited. Stars Jamie Gillis, Serena, Leslie Bovee, Desiree Cousteau, and the unbelievable, Nancy Suiter.

4. Café Flesh- by Rinse Dream. Not that erotic, but completely strange, weird, and pretty funny if you're in the right mood. Set in the future. only a few remain sex positive who can have sex without getting sick and they're made to perform in cabarets. Stars the awesome scream queen, Michelle Bauer (her sex scenes are doubled )

3. Baby Face- by the great Alex DeRenzy. This could not have been made today. Many non-PC scenes. Set in a male whore house. This is hard to find nowadays.

2. The Devil in Miss Jones 2- by Henri Pachard. Even though the first is more famous, I think this comedy has the first one beat. Great plot, acting, and production values...and it's even funny! See (a skinnier) Ron Jeremy do his self fellatio bit.

1. The Opening Of Misty Beethoven- by Henry Paris. Great movie in all aspects! You really need to see this movie to show what porn can be. Some of the best acting from legend, Jamie Gillis. Even the music is good!

Anyway, just my 2 cents worth. I'm wondering what everybody else's favs are. I do like the explicitness of the porn now, but it's nothing like the classiness of the porn from back in the day.


P.S, Honorable mentions: Bad Girls, Through the Looking Glass, Story of Joanna, Punishment of Anne (The Image), Insatiable, Great Sexpectations.

Anything with Veronica Hart is a big turn on for me. In her prime seemed to have an insatiable appetite for men and women. Now and then would avoid anything porn or otherwise with Ron Jeremy.

Insatiable 2 is a stand out for me. Marilyn Chambers on the pool table? Oh my.

Devil in Miss Jones (the one with Amber Lynn and I think Lois Ares?) was excellent.

I spent hours and hours watching and some of it was actually pretty decent. I've moved on, but yea those were some decent films.

The one legal movie was "Tracy, I Love You". Made in France when she was 18. Horrible movie, but Tracy looks extremely hot and as expected, this made a ton of money since the scandal had just come to light and this was the only outlet to see her in action legally.
