Seriously, this is a liberal city run by liberal Democrats and it has fairly strict gun laws, albeit most of the guns come from elsewhere.

Maybe they should do stop, ask and frisk - worked when Mr Giuliani was in charge of New York.

Maybe put up cameras everywhere, police bodycams...etc

How about educate the citizens about helping the police and the damaging effects of the phrase "snitches get stitches".
