Dispersing information off the boards

I'm familiar with the GL about posting of RW info on this site. At the moment, it is all but practically forbidden. When people want to pass along such, off site, they usually say to PM them on or off site.

Question: is it okay for the OP who is offering information to just post their email address on their thread for people to get ahold of them for the information they want?

If one wishes to disclose one's email address for communication that is their choice.
