I know nothing about AMPS. I know what they are, but don’t know if there are any in my area, what “services” they have, how you schedule/ask for those activities, etc.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Each one is different. I would start right here on eccie or AMPreviews(dot)net Hopefully someone has reviewed one nearby and you know. If not close, make the drive to the closest one with a review. Or be brave and TOFTT.
