Not for the hobby I have never even looked at twitter before but facebook is cool to connect with old friends and family.Facebook and the hobby I am not mixing the two.
+1 jayda. I keep the 2 separate too. My advertising here and on 411 keeps me plenty busy enough that i dont have to create a dozen other places.
I think the guys that follow providers on such places are just begging to be caught by SO... too much of a trail !! Guys that have to connect with a provider THAT much.. probably should be looking on Match.com They obviously have taken the hobby level to a personal level... looking for more.
I am on twitter and I think it is a fantastic medium for providers and hobbiest to maintain communication. The key is to lock and protect your tweets and keep it strictly hobby.
Too risky for me! I guess on some levels it works, but I prefer to hide in the shadows of eccie, TER or p411 than tackle twitter that has such a wide array of different users. People can use it as a way to blast specials, travel tour and availability. Twitter is much too public for me and things can go viral on twitter in a blink of an eye.

I use twitter to update my availability instantly, but never post ads or pictures on there.

I post my travel updates, new pics, and random musing on twitter. I use it mostly to network and chit chat with other ladies, my twitter account is private though.

I commented this on twitter amusingly enough but :

Missy Mariposa ‏ @ingodwetryst @tmzescortcallgi @CBSPhilly New? Who are they kidding? I've had a work twitter since 19th Jan 2009. A little behind the times eh? Not news

Honestly, the term "twooker" has been around for 3 years. Anyone remember the Alexa DiCarlo exposeabro scandal? Twitter.

Twitter is fantastic for business. If you're worried about security, then protect your tweets and manually approve followers. I'm of the belief that if I have a blog and website with my face displayed freely available, a twitter doesn't really take it much further.

I use twitter primarily as a way to network and build connections with other providers and hobbyists (who are not clients). But I do know providers who meet new clients that way.

HOWEVER, I'm sure those gents are still subject to screening and safety protocol. As always, this article completely denied the ways in which providers have agency and control over their business. I wonder who many providers they were NOT able to reach before they got to the poor girl who met them at a "motel" and, I'm assuming, did not screen.

Furthermore, "hookers" have been living as neighbors, teachers, babysitters, and with access to children, husbands, parents, family, etc. since there have been "hookers". We're not going to infect your tweeting child. They act as though fake Facebook models don't show their asses all the time lol.
