Who do you guys and gals think will replace Simon when he leaves American Idol after this season?

Speculation seems to be Adam Lambert

I think Adam would be good as a replacement

Has to be somebody who is SOMEBODY in the music industry (bussines). This guy Motola from Sony recs, Emilio Estefan, ...? (BTW Randy Jackson)

It Has to be somebody that can or might be able to predict economic succes with the future music contracts of the people they sign.
I would love to see Tobey keith be a judge. He is a great person, knows alot of music and has a great since of humor to him.

First...Ellen has to go....she contributes NOTHING to the show from a musical or showbiz perspective...and the other judges seem to have ZERO connection with her at all...NO chemistry at all

Randy and Kara are industry savvy and balance each other well...and have really stepped it up...and are "telling like it is" this year

They could carry the show with a different guest judge every week...

...as long as they used music biz power hitters

I was gagging to see Miley Cyrus...what is she?...like 16...giving "sage" advice to the contestants....sheeeeesh!
I have inside information that Jamie Foxx is going to be the replacement.

I could tell you how I know that, but then I'd have to kill you.

the Ellen thing at least was I thought it was going to be was when they had Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football to boost their ratings since he is a comedian but knew nothing about football. IMO American Idol doesn't need help boosting ratings and even though Ellen doesn't have a background in music but she does about show business and what it takes to succeed and I believe she is rapidly learning about the music industry. If they really needed to boost ratings they would have gotten Doogie Howser.
