Travel near Houston

Hi there. I will be visiting Houston then traveling to Bossier City. I tend to do well in small towns such as Monroe, Texarkana, & Houma. I don't like to drive more than 3 or 4 hours a day. Is there a town with hobbyists on my route? Perhaps Nacogdoches? Any feedback is appreciated

Have you tried Victoria? Not too far from Houston. En route from Houston there's Livingston as well, Tyler, etc....good luck!
