how to get messages by pm only

when I pm'd a new client, my message showed up on his work e-mail,
rather than pm on eccie
--he apparently somehow set up his " how to contact" wrong"-
-how can he change it so that he gets my pm's on eccie ONLY,
NOT on his work e-mail--
-told him I would find out for him how to do this

Have him check his profile and look at his email (This is the place: http://eccie.net/profile.php?do=editpassword). If he has his work email in here then that's the problem. PM notifications get emailed to his work email because the account is tied to it.

Don't think there's any other way sending a PM on a private message board, or any message board at that, which turns into an email.

He can turn off the email notification of a PM.

User CP ---->Edit Options ---->The forum can send a message to your email address to inform you when someone sends you a private message.
Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages

PM's still come in, but the system will not send a notification of it.

And yes, he needs to change a real world email address to an anonymous email account
