Provider input: booked wrong day for incall

Let's say that you only book your incall when there are appointments set. You use some sort of point system so you get discounted/free rooms.

A client setup an appointment and you booked the room. You booked the room for the wrong day, and because of that, the hotel couldn't accomodate you. What would you do now? Tell them sorry, we can meet again another day? Would you book another room close by? Assuming that you know the client took off from work early to meet you.
I would book another hotel nearby... and in a hurry!!! None of this is the clients fault!!

I would think of a better excuse for canceling..
