What would you do?

I agree.. you may want to put an alert out there with a name.. here or in the ML
Or...just not keep her as a regular. You make it sound like she doesn't have a bad rep on here so no reason to name her imo
Every reason to name , her, stop others from this bs and drama
100% scam. A week later, she claims it's fake, and it's a giant emergency. What's up with you have to pay in 3 hours? Whoever is texting you is trying to get you to pay and react before thinking. Now that you have thought about it you know not to.

While attending college, 40 years ago, I worked at a grocery store as a cashier. One day I noticed a bill in the till with $20 corners taped to a bill with Washington on the face. Turned it over to management. I received a visit from Secret Service who had me prepare an affidavit as to how I received the bill. So, if you don't receive a visit from Secret Service, then no worries.

I would block and move on, it a sucky situation but it happens. I had a atm refuse a bill but I took it in the bank and it was fine.

Could also be BS

in my 2-+ years, i've never heard of this possible scam. not saying it doesnt happen, just never heard of it.

"she texted me to say that one of my bills was fake per her bank, and she demanded that I cashapp her within 3 hours for the amount of the fake bill to make it right, or else she would report me to P411."

1. how do even know that is was her texting you? if could have been anyone who knows her ph#.
2. if she really "demanded" you pay her back, 99% it's a scam.
3. did you meet her or ever request an appt via p411? if not, how does she know you have an acct there?

if that happened to me, i would have
1) asked her to meet me at her back so we could talk w/ the bank staff about the bill.
2) even if it were counterfeit, there's low probability that she can prove it was you who gave it to her. if it were a 20 or maybe a 50, i might consider giving her a new one. but if it were a 100, sure wouldnt give her a new 100, maybe a 20 for her time. besides, i seem to remember that 100s are most counterfeit bills. if you didnt give her one, it def was not you.
3) regardless of all that, i'd let p411 know about what happened just so they know about it. since you dont really know who contacted you, you can only pass along the info.

ditto for here or the lounge - let us know who it is so we can be prepared for any "counterfeit" shenanigans.
or go see her and let her/her associates do it to us cos we're masochists and need more worry in our lives :^}
I doubt the SS is going to waste their time on 100 bucks. It'll be local pd or deputies doing it on their behalf.

I bet it's super common in this industry. I have had a few chicks hold up my bills to the light to look for stripes before, but it's very uncommon.

It could also be an ATM Skimmer stealing the real money and giving you fakes if that's the case. She could have also got hacked or robbed and they're using her accounts and contacts to get as much cash as they can.

As a preventitive measure- get one of those pens that the door-girls at strip clubs use to check for counterfeit bills and check your bills yourself before you pay your 'dates'.
The same thing happened to me in California. There was a person I'd seen 4 or 5 times. The last time she said I gave her fake money. I explained that I'd gone to an atm and I offered to swap out the money I gave her with other ATM money. Crickets. She never saw me again. So it wasn't a scam by her.
I think she got scammed and blamed me. Don't think anything can be done
