Email notice for PMs?

In my control panel
> Settings & Options
> Edit Options
> Messaging and Notification : I selected the checkbox "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages"

but I do not get emails when new PMs arrive.

My email address is correct but not the address I used when I signed up for Eccie years ago. What can I do to fix this?
