Seeking advice regarding touring

Hello Ladies... gentlemen,

I have been toying around with the idea of doing a tour. I have not done this yet and am looking for advice/suggestions. Such as, deciding where to visit and how long does one usually stay? Finding out the safer parts of an unknown city. How fancy: L'Hotel du Fancie vs. Comfort Inn. And just any info and/or experience as well.

If you use the search function at the top of the page and put "Touring" as a key word, it will bring up over 100 threads on this very subject. There are far too many places and opinions to state here. If you get provider status you may be able to post more in the "Ladies Only" areas, where their is a wealth of info.
