I was thinking about several women who were great, popular providers, ladies that I saw multiple times...and then they quit the hobby. There's a story there which I'd love to hear — not why they quit, but how they go from making a few grand in cash every week to getting a (comparatively) small paycheck. I'm sure some find a sugar daddy and don't have to rely on a paycheck, but I've known some who went into sales or office jobs. I doubt they miss the constant stream of strangers pounding away at their tender parts, but do they miss the illicit thrill of it all? The money? The regular trips to Victoria's Secret? The checking into hotels using a local drivers license?
Has anyone seen any accounts of women who left and shared their true feelings about it? If so, please let me know.
On a side note, I've watched The Deuce on HBO with great interest, since I came of age in the late 60s and early 70s. It was great to see the rise of the video arcades and massage parlors...but damn, the show is depressing. Plus I had no idea that all the quarters I dropped into those peepshow machines were going to the Mob.
