One of the stranger political arguments this year is "If Obama gets reelected, the country will cease to exist, so we have to vote for Romney." It's hard to make sense of this. Obviously the land mass, population, and government of America will not vanish.
The real fear probably has to do with losing America's free market fundamentals. If that's your fear, you're a hundred years too late. The destruction of that part of America began with the Sixteenth Amendment, continued with the creation of the Federal Reserve, progressed with the New Deal (including FDR's Gold Confiscation Executive Order of 1933), and reached a new level with TARP. And there are only two presidential candidates who intend to actually reverse those: Ron Paul and Gary Johnson
I fully support Gary Johnson for President, however, I still expect that I will vote for Romney if Kansas becomes a battleground state. Not because I have any affection for his policies, but I just want to see all these obnoxious and pompous Obama supporters pissed off. I might not vote for him even for that, but it's possible.
