How Planned Parenthood Rightfully Duped America

How Planned Parenthood Duped America

At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the "black" and "yellow" peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger's American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.

Sanger's other colleagues included avowed and sophisticated racists. One, Lothrop Stoddard, was a Harvard graduate and the author of The Rising Tide of Color against White Supremacy. Stoddard was something of a Nazi enthusiast who described the eugenic practices of the Third Reich as "scientific" and "humanitarian." And Dr. Harry Laughlin, another Sanger associate and board member for her group, spoke of purifying America's human "breeding stock" and purging America's "bad strains." These "strains" included the "shiftless, ignorant, and worthless class of antisocial whites of the South."

Not to be outdone by her followers, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as "unfit," a plan she said would be the "salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were "irresponsible and reckless," among whom she included those " whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers." She further contended that "there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped." That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered "unfit" cannot be easily refuted.

While Planned Parenthood's current apologists try to place some distance between the eugenics and birth control movements, history definitively says otherwise. The eugenic theme figured prominently in the Birth Control Review, which Sanger founded in 1917. She published such articles as "Some Moral Aspects of Eugenics" (June 1920), "The Eugenic Conscience" (February 1921), "The purpose of Eugenics" (December 1924), "Birth Control and Positive Eugenics" (July 1925), "Birth Control: The True Eugenics" (August 1928), and many others.

These eugenic and racial origins are hardly what most people associate with the modern Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), which gave its Margaret Sanger award to the late Dr. Martin Luther King in 1966, and whose current president, Faye Wattleton, is black, a former nurse, and attractive.

Though once a social pariah group, routinely castigated by religious and government leaders, the PPFA is now an established, high-profile, well-funded organization with ample organizational and ideological support in high places of American society and government. Its statistics are accepted by major media and public health officials as "gospel"; its full-page ads appear in major newspapers; its spokespeople are called upon to give authoritative analyses of what America's family policies should be and to prescribe official answers that congressmen, state legislator and Supreme Court justiices all accept as "social orthodoxy."

I know one abortion that was clearly missed.

Yeah I know early eugenics and planned parenthood advocates were racists but so what? Most everyone was racist in those days. It would be surprising if they weren't.

But you don't have to be a racist to favor abortion...as I strongly do.

If it weren't for abortion there would be millions of additional poor, unwanted, underclass people swelling our welfare rolls, prisons and jails, and watching Jerry Springer and Dr. Phil all day while eating the cheetos the rest of us worked to pay for!!!

As for the "sanctity of all human life no matter how undeveloped or meaningless or miserable"......

That's a beautiful idealistic noble idea which cannot trump the hard, cold realities we have to live with in the real world.

I love cats too, but when my cat has kittens we have no place for I kill the kittens. Sorry.

I will gladly pay for anyone's abortion.

If you are all done posturing like a bunch of schoolyard punks...actually Choom is correct. Planned Parenthood does not do very many mammograms. They had a story up here in Kansas City where someone went to PP and asked for a mammogram. They were turned away because they have no mammogram machines. That is true for most of the offices in the country. They send people to a place to get a mammogram which means you don't need PP to get one. PP is nothing more than an abortion mill plain and simple. Just admit the truth and it shall set you free.

I separate Austin from the school boys because that was a reasonable answer. A mistaken answer but still an answer. A hundred, a hundred and twenty years ago with an odd time for this country. We were going from an agrarian society to an industrial society. People were leaving the soil and going to the city. Like the REM song, people were losing their religion and building their own god, Science. Kellog's cereal was created by a man who thought he could create better people through exercise, science, and enemas. This was the time of the rise of socialism. That man could create a scientifically designed society. Eugenics had been around for a few years and the elites picked up on it. Now you bring up the charge of racism. They were people of their times and they didn't consider themselves to be racists. They considered themselves to be humanitarians. Like your kittens, they were doing the underclasses a favor by not allowing them to be born at all. It was Germany that went the furthest by killing people by the millions to improve humanity. In this country we had Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood. We also had Buck V Bell. Sanger was determined to reduce the underclasses through abortion and others wanted to sterilize any possible carriers of bad genes. 40 million plus children have been aborted with no more concern than for your kittens. Over 55, 000 women and men were forceably sterilized including a great aunt of mine. She was 15 years old. Unlike you, I trap feral cats and have them neutered or spade. I release them and come back to feed them daily. If they are sick I take them to the vet. I have been able to find homes for some of them and they are very happy.

I can also say if it wasn't for abortion then we might have the cure for cancer or fusion power. Among the average people there are always a few turds and a few diamonds. Abortion kills all three.

If you know you need a mammogram, you might go straight to the facility that has them. PP does breast exams. Then they refer people to get one. Plus they might get a group rateThey were turned away because they have no mammogram machines. That is true for most of the offices in the country. We're talking a max of 92 for this article We were going from an agrarian society to an industrial society. People were leaving the soil and going to the city. Like the REM song, people were losing their religion and building their own god, Science. Kellog's cereal was created by a man who thought he could create better people through exercise, science, and enemas. He thought he could create? You mean help transform or help them change into a healthier person. This was the time of the rise of socialism. That man could create a scientifically designed society. Eugenics had been around for a few years and the elites picked up on it. Now you bring up the charge of racism. They were people of their times and they didn't consider themselves to be racists. Sanger was determined to reduce the underclasses through abortion and others wanted to sterilize any possible carriers of bad genes. 40 million plus children Do you mean fetuses? Where does that number come from? have been aborted with no more concern than for your kittens How stupid are you? No concern huh?. Do they wear "smile" buttons? Life is so simple for you. You put all your "proof" in one pile and expect the stench to keep others from digging. PP forcibly sterilized your aunt? I say bullshit. What proof do you have she was sterilized by PP?

I can also say if it wasn't for abortion then we might have the cure for cancer or fusion power You can say it, it doesn't make it true other than as a statistical anomaly. Both of these examples are "team" sports. They aren't dependent on a single person. The number of abortions is statistically insignificant when com[are to eggs that are not fertilized or sperm that goes someplace else other than a vagina.. Among the average people there are always a few turds and a few diamonds. Abortion kills all three.[/QUOTE]

And you claim to be a teacher. I still can't figure out a subject I've seen you talk about that you were correct and factual about. And you won't tell us because you can't stand up to the scrutiny.
