Not sure if they have arrived yet, but getting real close to the time Sandhills cranes stop in Nebraska. Go out by Kearney and you see them all over in the fields. Do a search for Sandhills Cranes and you should get more info

I like to see things like the waterfalls by Valentine but that might be more of a warm weather trip.

The Zoo in Omaha it is rate as one of the best in the world. The Joslyn Art museum , Durham History Museum and while you are down town the Old market great people watching place. Have fun
