Thanksgiving Poem

The fourth thursday in November
comes but once in a year
where friends and families gather round
for the holiday cheer

Here's Aunt Judy with the stuffing
only burnt on the sides
while sister Susie chases Brady
who always runs and hides

Here comes the rest of the family
one by one they walk in
except staggering grandpa
whos obviously been sipping on gin

All the hugs have been given
now you finally get to rest
since its almost time to indulge
in this home made food fest

Dad tells sister Mary
To save him that place
"Dinner's ready", Yells momma
Now its time to say grace

Oh Father be with us
in our day to day chores
Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving
From My Family to Yours
