Okay so i've never actually stepped into these places until hobbying. But now, with weird meeting hours and a long commute, I just need a place to crash for 5-6 hours instead of going home plus driving when I could be sleeping.
Is it usually $39 and is there a set window like 2p checkin? or can you get in at midnight and leave at 6pm next day and only count for one (ie $39?)
Thanks ladies, and guys who outcall.
Typical motel check in starts at 3 pm and you must be out by 11-12 am next day.
You may be able to work a deal with the desk clerk.
Palace inn.....
Just tell them how long you would like to stay... But if it is more than 3 hrs... It is cheaper to get the room for the day...
Motel 6 is pretty flexible for checking in, you just pay the rate posted on the sign.
Above those 2 that you want semi clean... Happy Hunting! I don't know.
Probably not helpful in your case...but some hotels start tomorrow at midnight, 2, 4, or 6 a.m.
I've landed after these times and it's already hotel tomorrow saving me a day. Then if you get a late checkout, you might be able to have the room for 30 hours at one day cost.
There's been an occasion or two where i was going to stay a week or more, and the desk clerk wouldn't give in....so i gave them one last chance and walked out.
Stupid desk clerks.
Hell, the hotels do not even give a shit to members of the chains' return clubs. They seem to do everything they can to piss me off.
Hotel clerks seem to be very nice or total jerks, middle ground. Just ask, if they aren't cool move on.
Everything is negotiable at most of these places except what we would consider here to be nuclear stuff. They don't put up with that shit either.
Be nice. The "desk clerk" at damn near any of the budget chains or private motels is most likely the owner or a direct relative. They prefer denominations of $10 or $20.
Indians are pretty passive by nature. Just don't piss them off or make them feel like you got over on them.
Ricky G - if you need a 5-6 hour layover, hit any other the national chains by the airport, Courtyard, Hyatt Place, etc...at the front desk ask them if they have a "day rate"...typically it's half of the room rate. Sometimes less...stay out of the notels for some good sleep...stay in them for some good fucking.
.... And if you forget any of this the hotel will remind you when it's time to go!
Do not get any room that connects to the next room EVER!
Any noise travels thru that door connection as if only paper was tacked in place
Do not get any room that connects to the next room EVER!..... unless you want to hear what's going on in that room.
