Hello there Mississippi natives!
So I've never visited MS, but the opportunity is presented itself!
I was wondering if anyone out there would give me some ideas as to what cities have the most tourist attractions.
On my leisure time, I do enjoy hikes, museums & parks ,amongst other things.
Feel free to pm with your suggestions.
Thank you in advance!!
On that note, wishing all a phenomenal weekend ahead!!
This reply does not answer your question ... but is a consideration!
Depending on your route to Mississippi and timing ... I've got a welcoming stop just in Mississippi near southeast Arkansas. I'll be watching your posts and see what might develop!
Good luck, lots of friendly people.

What is there to do in Biloxi besides the beach and casinos?
They have an amazing go kart track with karts that go up to 50 mph. I had a friggin blast. Le cafe beignet has great coffee and yummy beignets.
Shopping at small treasure finds (boutiques). Shows, great food, 875 at the beau.

I am not going to gamble on my trip... It is strictly a money making trip....I gambled too often, which is why I have the free room for four days...

But I am sure I will be just fine watching Tv. and relaxing just like I was back at home. I think the Season Premier of the voice comes on Monday night, and Sunday the Saints Play Atlanta Falcons in football. I will be just happy to relax and de stress for a few days.

There are also a couple art museums and historical places to visit. One of my favorite things about Biloxi besides the food and people. They have some very pretty places for pics. The old oak trees lined up across the street from the beach are some of my favorite sites lol. Amazing how so much was lost in that area from hurricanes but those majestic trees are still there.

Hello ladies. If you like to shop in cool indoor mall, go to Edgewater mall.
Just talked to a bargin shopper. She found a way to make $300 outfit cost $40 after all the hoops at Dillards.

Edgewater is a little west of Treasure Bay casino.

For some fresh air shopping, you have two great options.
1st and a blast to walk about, is downtown Ocean Springs. Two square blocks of small and one of a kind finds.
Also some of the best food and drinks with a laid back scene, that is a great break to the loud casinos.

You can find Ocean Springs by going east 2.5 miles from the Golden Nugget casino.
Also the bridge you cross is a favorite of the health and fitness crowd. It offers the best sunrise view in the metro.

The 2nd fresh air shopping place to go is in Gulfport.
Off of Hwy 49 just south of interstate 10 is the Gulfport Outlet mall.
Over 50 stores with all the great prices of an outlet.

As far as art a must see is the Ohr-O'Keefe art museum

https://www.georgeohr.org

You can also buy some of the finest pottery at

http://www.shearwaterpottery.com

Enjoy Biloxi and the rest of the metro has alot to offer.

Ms.Kynsley Morgan, I am a firm believer in getting out and enjoying every state visited. Definitely always rejuvenating! Love your quote by Bryant McGill!!!

Cassie107, I LOVE me some history,Art, and photography... a must to make time to hug an ole oak tree!!

Beguilingvoice,
WOW! Hurricane Katrina left her Mark of Destruction on MS.. Shearwater Pottery will have my business!!!
(What don't break you, can only make you stronger)!!!!!

Turning a $300 outfit into a $40 outfit is a very impressive need to learn trick!!

On the other hand, I'm sure you'll be able to spot me hangin out on the bridge with the health & fitness crowd

With so many people to see and things to do..Mississippi natives you are turning me into a regular traveler already!

Much love to you all!!
I love helpful people... Hope YOU enjoy Mississippi as much as I have in the past...
