Just curious, what was your experience with the beaches in Biloxi after the oil spill ? I was on the Coast before, during and after and I do not remember any major issues, I do remember a few tar balls that washed up but it was not bad in the areas that I saw. If your experience was something different, what part of the beach was it the worst? It should be totally cleared up in all areas now though. The beaches and scenic drive along the Mississippi Gulf Coast are beautiful to behold. Actually going in the water is not that great because it is shallow and Brown. If you go out to the barrier islands then you will get beautiful surf and water. There are excellent oysters, shrimp and other seafood available all along the coast. A lot of women like to shop in downtown Ocean Springs. There are good restaurants in Ocean Springs, and the Half Sshell in Biloxi comes to mind. Also, the Filling Station there is good.
Jackson has two of the finest new museums in the country. The civil rights museum and the Mississippi history Museum. The Mayflower, Char, all good seafood and steak restaurants. Aladdin‘s is a good Mediterranean restaurant. Originally Posted by mornincapn
