I posted a thread similar to this about a half year ago, but I had a lot of personal problems come up and was never able to contact any one who replied to the original thread. So here it is again:
Quick intro, I'm an aspiring writer. At the moment I am working on a young adult fiction series I currently have titled "Neverland Begins." It is a somewhat mature book, even though it will be filed under young adult fiction, it deals with a lot of drug experiences, sex, murder etc..
So far I have my first book written, it is completed and ready to be published. My publisher, however, wants me to finish the series before actually publishing the book. I have the contract, the deal is done, I will be publishing this series as soon as I finish my second book.
Now here is my request.. In my second book, the main character falls in love with an escort and I need to create a second plot line explaining her story, how she got into the business, why she got into it, maybe even some unusual things that have happened while being a provider, like if a client ever started stalking you or something.
I like to do extensive research for these books, I need them to be as real as possible. For my first book I even tracked down a 7-year long heroin addict to describe to me exactly what he feels when he doses, likewise I chatted with his drug dealer and got some information from him. I guess what I'm trying to say is I want it to be the gritty truth, but I mold it into something better, a story you can feel and relate to. Not saying this has to be a sad story or one that undermines you, I understand that most of you providers are normal people and are certainly NOT the same as some hooker I'd find on the street. I don't want it to be a typical story I'd expect to hear. I promise I won't make you or the hobby look bad, in fact I'm leaning more towards making it look like a normal thing to do.
I'm looking for a provider who may think they have a good, interesting story for me, or at least one I can work off of and expand upon. She needs to not be afraid to be interviewed, in a sense, as I'm sure I will ask questions.
Unfortunately, I cannot pay you for any information. Like I mentioned, I'm an aspiring writer, which roughly translates to "extremely broke." I could think of some way to repay you somehow, if you want me to give you acknowledgments in the book or anything else you could think of. Name a character after you or something? Anyway, any and all information is welcome and is very appreciated. You can PM your story to me if you'd like or email me (I can provide my email upon request) or we can talk via phone. I can even do an in-person interview if you're in my area (currently live in Lubbock, will be in Dallas in August).
Feel free to ask any questions you have as well
Thanks!
