Emergency Manager Information
Public Act 436 of 2012, the Local Financial Stability and Choice Act, took effect March 28, 2013. An emergency financial manager, serving under state law immediately prior to March 28, 2013, continues under this act as an emergency manager. Likewise, a local unit of government operating under a consent agreement under PA 72 will continue to do so pursuant to PA 436.
