Role-reversal in hobby negotiations?

Role-reversal is an organic part of hobby negotiations. Even with providers who never negotiate, SOME internal toying with rates, etc. had to have been bred, oft times with male attitudes in check. Reading this article and applying it to the hobby world is a definite mind fuck. To me, the hobby seems to close some of the gender-gap in business....and beyond:

. . . I guess that also means not to use your shoe to do that either, even if it is much more dramatic!
