I have been interested in creating movies for a few years. I am a very special person and so are most of my friends. I have been a pro photographer for many years and have a great eye for imagery and film. Plus I have all the gear and a studio space.
But, there's more to it than just fucking and filming.
What are some sites that breakdown the process of getting a paid site off the ground?

Not sure if they have a breakdown of the process, but clips4sale, xhamster, pornhub and xtube are just a few sites that may give you an idea.

If you are using more than just a camera on a tri pod, you are in the realm of Amateur Porn.
First advice: Find a good lawyer who will work for you and get them on retainer before going any step further.
You still need all the documentation of a major production porn. Here are the paperwork codes and a great start:
Adult Filmmaking Legal Forms
1 ADULT MODEL RELEASE: 2257 COMPLIANT FORM
2 Content Production Checklists Form
3 Independent Contractor Agreements Form
4 OBSCENITY CHECKLISTS Form
5 LOCATION AGREEMENT AND RELEASES Form
6 Synchronization and Distribution License for Music Form
7 Video Distribution Agreements Form
8 18 U.S.C. Section 2257 Compliance Notice Form
9 18 U.S.C. Section 2257 Laws and Regs Form
10 Sample model ad’s

Not to mention the 1099's for the IRS.
I would like to add this: Make sure all parties are in agreement as to what acts are to take place. There have been numerous lawsuits where the actress has sued the production agency claiming rape because anal was not included in the list of activities but was filmed during the act.

I know it's necessary, but thank you lawyers for killing that hard-on.

I could certainly be wrong, but I was under the vague impression that it was illegal to produce and distribute pornography in most states. There are easier and surely safer ways to make money. Seems like a lot of risk to film a couple of actors doing the deed.
