Each week upcoming games can be discussed and predictions made, name-calling after victories and general all-around college football discussion! Each week will be closed out by the next Monday and a new thread opened for the current college football schedule for each week.

What's valid in the Internet age? Just about anything! Any of the major sports publications, local newspapers, any of the big networks and official school and NCAA sites just to cover the big ones.

WKWCFR rule 2

Predictions must be posted 1 day in advance! If you haven't read the sports page and figgured out who's going to win by the day before ya never will!

Must be time stamped before Midnight the day before game-day, for any weekly games Thur-Sun on the current weekly schedule.

So there you have it, pretty basic! You can post on general topics of your favorite teams regardless of that week's opponent. Just remember WKWCFR rule 1

I thought the NCAA had some sort of OT policy. I'm pretty sure they do, but I don't think this was supposed to go this far. this game should have ended at 4 OT with a tie.

have OT clock set at 10 mins to speed the game up. if there is still a tie by 4th OT or 5th OT, one way to break a tie, is to have a battle of kickers! By every 5 yard increments, they kick field goals until both miss. game ends either with a tie or win.

LSU won that game in the 1st OT but due to bad refereeing, they added 1 second to the clock which gave TAM another shot at the score and missed an illegal formation by Texas. the game went into 7 OTs.

If a game is tied after four quarters, the teams will play extra periods until someone wins.

Each period consists of one possession for each team, the order of which is decided by a pre-overtime coin toss.
Each possession starts at the defense's 25-yard line.
If the teams remain tied at the end of a period, they play another full period.
After each period, the order of possession flips. So if you had the ball first in one period, you have it second in the next.
Starting in the third period, teams can no longer kick extra points and must go for two after touchdowns. This is to try and help things wrap up quickly.

another interesting wrinkle there is no kickoff in OT and the placement of the football is on the defense's 25 yard line.

apparently the rule is based on the Kansas High School football association rule which puts the football on the defense's 10 yard line.

however, I take issue on the teams getting full 6 points when they score from the 25 yard line. they should at least get 2 pts or 3 points from the 25 yard line instead of 6 points resulting in a game with over-inflated scores. extra point would be elminated entirely in OT.
