Depends where you are thinking from moving from. Traffic is still awful. Prices are going up thanks to the constant growth. Economy wise definitely important as if there is another market/housing crash like 9 years ago, last time Texas was able to weather the storm. As for the hobby/industry seems to do ok especially with as many travelers that pass through. As for where to live depends on your social preferences. Pretty much all the stereotypes still exist for each area of Atx.
