North Austin Hotel Recommendations?

I'm probably coming in for a Friday-Sunday weekend in a few weeks.

In the past, I've been staying at the Doubletree on I-35, just north of 290. They're a LITTLE bit pricey, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend anyplace else in that general area. Easy access to I-35 is an absolute requirement. Safe area is an absolute requirement.

I don't currently plan on hobbying at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel would be nice but is not required. Lunch, dinner at the hotel is NOT required. Non-smoking room ABSOLUTELY required.

It won't bother me to book at the Doubletree if I don't see any better suggestions. I'm just looking for possible alternatives.

No plans to hobby in hotel? WTF really? What's the point of getting nice hotel if you not gonna fuck in it?

Trees recommendation: get room with two beds one for messy play and the other for restful recharge. Avoid Rumberg. The Vagina Triangle is perfect location. i35/290.

Or the Hyatt Place is normally a nice location to visit, I think there is one in North Austin..

Quality Inn just south of St Johns(if you bid on priceline) is cheap and decent. Bid 30 bucks and after tax and fees, its 40 bucks.
