According to Gallup 70% of Americans thought of themselves as patriots in 2004. Today that number is 44%. Most of the change comes from self identified democrats. The reasons for the decline are Trump, Trump, and Trump among democrats.

They've been willingly brainwashed after eight years of a President who insisted the USA wasn't an exceptional nation.
I'm surprised it's that high among Dims. They misuse terms like "toxic" and "Nazi" and "tribalism" without knowing their definition. This is from the former "words have meaning" crowd.
