Yesterday we saw twitter supposedly Erupt, cause Laura Ingraham said of Mr D Hogg "Here's a kid who applied to 4 colleges, got rejected from all 4 and now is whining about it".
THEN Mr Hogg called out Ms ingraham for her "bullying".. ANd called on everyone to boycott/pull adverts from her show..
Now 4 companies (Wayfairer, Trip advisor, Rachael Ray's Nutrish and Nabisco), are all doing just that, pulling ads.
Wayfairer even went to say they 'it supports "open dialogue and debate on issues. However, the decision of an adult to personally criticize a high school student who has lost his classmates in an unspeakable tragedy is not consistent with our values. We do not plan to continue advertising on this particular program."
So How was what Ingraham said about Mr Hogg, 'criticizing him'? AND HOW IS it supporting open dialog, by SHUTTING DOWN only one side? Where's the outcry about all the foul stuff Mr Hogg's said about those who are in the NRA??
And Tripadvisor said "
TripAdvisor says it does not "condone the inappropriate comments made by this broadcaster. In our view, these statements focused on a high school student, cross the line of decency. As such, we have made a decision to stop advertising on that program."
Certainly, i see NOTHING In what Laura said that would be in any way seen as inappropriate.. Unless speaking the truth is now inappropriate..
SO I Wonder. Who's the bully here? Ms Ingraham? Or Mr Hogg?!
