Showing New Posts in Subforum?

I'm trying to construct a URL with the correct wild card switches to create a desktop shortcut that will bring up threads with new posts since I last logged in, but only for the Houston subforum.

There's a button under the Main Menu on most of the forum home pages for finding "all" new posts, but that's global. I only want to see new posts in Houston.

I used to have a shortcut to the list of vBulletin switches and wild cards to do this, but that page is gone.

That link takes me to an ECCIE message page; perhaps it's an area I don't have the "rights" to view?

try this one

https://www.eccie.net/search.php?searchid=2903264

Search: Keyword(s): houston ; Forum: Houston and Subforums
Thanks, but nope, that first link brings me to another Eccie Message page just like the very first link you sent.

The Search hyperlink brings up 10,000 references to Houston

The Houston hyperlink just brings up the Houston homepage.

From what I remember of earlier vBulletin software, there were some switches that had to be inserted with forward slashes and maybe hash signs and question marks. Wish I could find that page that showed all the options available for Users.

This will show all of the new posts since last visit in Houston forum and subforums:

https://www.eccie.net/search.php?do=getnew&f=37

Note that you need to use this URL, and not the subsequent "searchid" url that vbulletin will convert it to.

To save it, create a bookmark using your favorite browser, and then edit the bookmark and paste this url in.
