Sterling likely suffers from dementia (that interview shows how detached from reality his mind is); the fact that CNN/Anderson puts airs the interview speaks to their desperation for ratings. The only thing worse, would have been if Anderson had interviewed Sterling in his underwear and with a bib on.

The interview served no purpose other than to boost CNN ratings.
